CSW's President Caroline Cox is a passionate campaigner for
human rights around the world. She has visited Sudan many times
and is pictured here gathering testimonies from Sudanese people that
she can then use to bring the world's attention to their situation.
The people of the South of Sudan have suffered
bombing raids, been carried off into slavery and have
been forced off their land. The civil war which erupted in 1983
has claimed two million lives and left five million people
displaced. Baroness speaks powerfully in the House of Lords, often
initiating debates, at churches and conferences, being a voice for the
voiceless wherever she goes.
