SAT-7 at Cirencester Baptist Church (CBC).
SAT-7 is a Christian TV station broadcasting to some 21 million Arab speakers in the Middle East and North Africa. It also has separate channels for Turkish and Iranian speakers.
Sunday 4th March, 6.30 pm at CBC: a speaker from SAT-7 will talk about the station’s work and witness during the CBC evening service.
Saturday 10th March, 7.30 pm at CBC: “Closure”, a film written, directed and produced by Iranian Christian film-maker Joseph Hovsepian.”Closure” tells a semi-autobiographical story and follows the life of its protagonist Cyrus, who suffers terrible loss due to persecution. The film shows his struggle to come to terms with what has happened and explores how God can work all things together for good – even through the most painful experiences in our lives.
The film was first aired on SAT-7’s Farsi channel in 2015. It is a story that many Christians in Iran can identify with. Persecution is severe in their country but the church there is also one of the fastest growing in the world.
There will be Middle Eastern refreshments after the film and an opportunity for discussion.
